This document is a working draft. It will be replaced with the finalized policy before public launch. Conquest Rising is in closed beta.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address through our authentication provider (Clerk). We store an opaque user identifier that links your account to your in-game country, but we do not store your password — Clerk handles authentication.

When you play, we record gameplay actions, country state, alliance membership, chat messages, and timestamps. This is the game state required for the service to function.

We collect technical telemetry: device platform, app version, approximate IP address (for rate limiting and abuse detection), and error reports.

Push notifications

If you grant notification permission, we store an opaque push token provided by your device. We use it to send game-event notifications (attacks received, alliance war declared, market fills, season ending). You can revoke permission at any time in your device settings.

Supporter purchases

If you purchase supporter access, RevenueCat and Apple process the payment. We receive only entitlement status and an opaque RevenueCat user identifier. We never see your payment method.

How we use information

• Run the game and persist your progress across sessions.
• Send the push notifications you have opted into.
• Process supporter purchases and grant supporter status.
• Detect and prevent abuse (multi-account, exploit, harassment).
• Improve the game through aggregate gameplay analytics.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers required to run the game (Clerk for auth, Neon for database hosting, Railway for application hosting, RevenueCat and Apple for subscriptions, Expo for push delivery).

Retention

Chat messages older than 90 days are deleted automatically. Country state, alliance state, and final standings are retained per season for the Hall of Fame. You can request account deletion by emailing privacy@conquestrising.com.
