Your first five minutes.
Sign up, name your country, hit create. Every country starts as a Monarchy, and your first switch is free once you know which direction you want to take.

If a season is currently running, you'll land on the country creation screen. If you arrive between seasons, you'll see a short countdown to the next one. Country creation opens the moment that countdown ends.
Name your country
Pick a country name. You can rename it later, but only a limited number of times per season — pick something you'll be comfortable with. Country names are visible to every other player, on every leaderboard, in every news event, on every attack report. Make it a name you don't mind defending.
Plan your first government switch
Every country is founded as a Monarchy. After founding, you can switch once for free into one of eight government types. This is one of the most important decisions of your season. Each government shifts your relative strengths across economy, technology, military, market, and diplomacy. None is strictly better than the others — they reward different play styles.
Read the Government screen before spending the free switch. The next page in this guide walks through all eight in detail. Don't worry too much: after the free first switch, you can still switch again for a cost.
Found your country
Confirm creation. You'll land on the dashboard with a starting pack designed to let you take real actions immediately — cash, food, oil, a small population, usable turns, a starter army, and starter technology in the most-used research tracks. The exact pack is shown in your country state on the dashboard the moment you log in.
Newbie protection
You begin the season with a fixed number of protection turns. While you have any protection turns left, hostile players cannot attack you or run harmful spy operations against you. Protection burns down as you spend turns, and it expires permanently — so don't burn it idly. Use the protection window to build, not to skim.
Look around the dashboard
The dashboard is your command surface. From the top:
- Country header — your name, government, day in the season, current rank, readiness.
- Next turn timer — a live countdown to your next turn accrual. Turns regenerate on a fixed cadence; you don't have to be online.
- Recent events — anything that happened to or because of you: attacks, war declarations, market fills, alliance moves.
- Treasury — current cash plus your net worth, land, and population.
- Supply — food, oil, and population. Food and oil are consumed every tick. Run out and bad things happen.
- Turn reserve — usable turns, stored turns (overflow), and unused land available to build on.
- Standings — your current rank across the major leaderboards.
- Open Actions — the door to everything you actually do.
Your first actions
Open Actions. You'll see categories for Construction, Military, Tech Research, Spy, Government, Market, and Find Target. Two quick-spend buttons sit at the top — Explore and Cash — for the most common moves. Spend a few turns exploring to claim land, build a couple of residences for population, and read the next pages in this guide before you commit to a real strategy.
